# Change user\_id value of User in User managemet

Upon creating a user in User management, “user\_id” value is auto generated. The value thus assigned is of type e.g. “auth0|641352f868011b5234gc23bb”.

Is it possible to change this value either in UI or through API? The presence of special character pipe “|” is causing problem in our application.
