# How to get Logged in session from external source through APi?

Hi there,

I am using Octa Developer account and authenticating users using Octa IDP, can anyone please tell me how to get sessions for logged in user so i can sync my Application with octa ?

I am using ruby-saml gem.

Hi @sigama, thanks for the response. i have gone through this link but not able to get **okta\_session\_cookie** from where should i get this, i have checked the browser cookies nothing found related to okta\_session\_cookie? as i am new in Okta.
