# Listing groups assigned to application returns empty profile

When I make the following request: /api/v1/apps/{applicationId}/groups the response always involves an empty profile resource:

This also happens when I test the request in my browser (e.g. [test.oktapreview.com/api/v1/apps/{applicationId}/groups](http://test.oktapreview.com/api/v1/apps/%7BapplicationId%7D/groups)). Does anyone have an idea what causes this and/or how this could be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Hi @ruby

The `profile` section represents custom attributes that have been declared in the app under Admin \>\> Users/Directory \>\> Profile Editor \>\> your OIDC app \>\> Profile and then mapped to the group under Assignments tab.

Here is an example of a response that contains a custom attribute
