# Okta React Samples do not run

Hello,

I cloned the React samples from: [https://github.com/okta/samples-js-react](https://github.com/okta/samples-js-react). I added the testenv file like it instructed and after running the web app I only get a blank screen with a header without buttons.

The only thing present on the header is the ‘Okta-React Sample Project’ link. Nothing else. There are no errors being logged to the console. If I wait long enough (several minutes) eventually: “The development server has disconnected. Refresh the page if necessary.” from webpackHotDevClient.js:74 is shown in the console.

Unsure what do to next seeing how it was cloned this way.

If I manually type in “[http://localhost:8080/login](http://localhost:8080/login)” as my url then I am brought to the login form. After entering my creds and successfully logging in, I am routed back to: “[http://localhost:8080/implicit/callback](http://localhost:8080/implicit/callback)” but instead of seeing whatever is expected I am being shown “AuthApiError” on the page and in the console it says: “browser-ponyfill.js:532 POST [https://kclife.okta.com/oauth2/default/v1/token](https://kclife.okta.com/oauth2/default/v1/token) 401 (Unauthorized)”

I can tell that this did log me into Okta because if I refresh my admin site (from another browser window) it directly logs me in.
