# What is the exact length limit for idp name

Can anyone provide reference for length limit for idp name on okta organization, documentation about validations would be good as well

Hi Raju,

The ‘Name’ field supports the maximum length of 128 characters. You can learn more here in this documentation - [Application attributes | Okta](https://help.okta.com/oag/en-us/content/topics/access-gateway/application-attributes.htm)

However, could you please let us know where exactly in Okta Dashboard you are setting the IDP name?
