Who is Eligible: The Contest is open only to Okta customers in the following countries: Argentina; Australia; Austria; Belgium; Canada; China; France; Germany; Hong Kong; India; Ireland; Japan; Netherlands; New Zealand; Philippines; Singapore; South Korea; Spain; Switzerland; Thailand; United Kingdom; and United States. The following individuals are not eligible to play, however: (a) employees of Okta, Inc. (“Okta”); or (b) employees or officials of any government entity. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their participation in the Contest complies with any policies their employer may have regarding participation in promotions of this type.

Entry Period: The Contest begins at 12:00 AM PT on March 1, 2025 and ends at 11:59 PM PT on March 31, 2025 (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.

How to Enter: Create a new post in Workflows (Workflows - Okta Developer Community) (your “Entry”). Your Entry should be a meaningful post that offers value to the community, not a just post to claim engagement. Posts in other categories of the forum will not be eligible. Please make sure your Entry does not: (a) violate anyone’s rights, including, but not limited to, copyrights or trademark rights; or (b) contain any content that is inappropriate or indecent. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person. By entering, you indicate your full agreement to these Official Rules and Okta’s decisions regarding the Contest, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements in these Official Rules.

Okta’s Rights to Entries: You do not transfer ownership of your Entry by entering the Contest. However, by entering, you grant Okta, its agents, licensees, and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual (non-exclusive) right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, and otherwise use your Entry as-is or as-edited (with or without using your name) in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you.

How Winners are Selected: After the Entry Period, a panel of judges will evaluate which Entries received the highest number of valuable responses, as determined by the judges in their sole discretion. Okta will attempt to notify potential winners via the forum and request a shipping address. Potential winners must respond within seven (7) days in order to receive a prize.

Potential Winner Requirements: Except where prohibited, a potential winner may be required to complete and return a declaration of eligibility and liability/publicity release. If the potential winner fails to sign and return these documents within seven (7) days of the time Okta sends them, Okta may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place based on the scores. Only three (3) alternate potential winners may be contacted.

First Prizes: The three (3) entrants with the highest scores will each receive a VSSL Java Coffee & Pour Over Set with an approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $213 USD.

Second Prizes: Depending on the number of eligible Entries received, up to 115 entrants with the next highest scores will receive one of the following items: (a) up to 10 entrants will each receive a Pickleball Smasher Set with an ARV of $40; (b) up to 10 entrants will each receive a Cream Baseball Cap with an ARV of $16 USD; (c) up to 15 entrants will each receive Black Crew Socks with an ARV of $13 USD; (d) up to 20 entrants will each receive a Teal Denik Journal with an ARV of $12 USD; and (e) up to 60 entrants will each receive a Poppin Pen with an ARV of $6 USD. Okta reserves the right to award fewer prizes if it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible Entries.

For all Prizes: A winner is responsible for paying taxes and any costs and expenses not specified above. Any prize details not specified above will be determined by Okta, in its sole discretion. A prize may not be transferred prior to award. A winner may not request cash or a substitute prize.

General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way, Okta may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest; or (b) award the prizes from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment based on the criteria set forth above. Okta reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and seek damages from any individual who tampers with the operation of the Contest, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive manner. Okta’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Release and Limitations of Liability: By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Okta, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize. You further agree that in any cause of action, in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorneys’ fees or other legal costs. You waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

Disputes: You agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in San Francisco, California. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Okta in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than California.
