403 access forbidden on admin dashboard login

Hi,

I am receiving a 403 access forbidden error when attempting to log in as admin. Please help me restore my admin access. Thank you very much.

My dev tenants:

I contacted you for help after seeing your reply to a closed question.

We use these two tenants for production, this recent error is preventing us from logging in and granting access to new users. Any help is greatly appreciated.

hi

I am also encountering a 403 when attempting to login to my Okta Admin Dashboard. I was recently asked to enable MFA on my tenant and initially had issues logging in. Can you help me with getting back in to my account?

Hi, Any suggestions on this issue?

After investigating, we discovered a 302 redirect from the URL, likely due to the lack of 2FA setup for the Okta admin app. How can I set it up now?

Hi, I’m running into the same issue: getting a 403 when trying to log in as admin to my dev account, possibly because 2fa hasn’t been set up yet. Dev tenant: https://dev-56563469.okta.com

Would appreciate any help getting admin access back!

Hello I am still seeing 403 upon login to admin console. Since Okta requires MFA starting Dec 2, can someone help me reset so I can set up MFA again?

Hi , I am also getting the same error(403 Forbidden) for my developer account
dev-39750917.okta.com .Kindly help me on this

I’m also unable to access my account and likely because I missed the MFA requirement. I’m authenticated through my google workspace account. dev-02878771.okta.com. I’m in a crunch and need help. Thank you!

This is likely related to the changes we’ve been making to require admins to use a 2nd factor when accessing the Admin app (as announced on banner on this forum and the following article).

If you have a paid account with Okta, you can reach out to support (via phone, since you wouldn’t be able to log into the support ticketing system) for assistance.

If this is a Developer Free org, unfortunately, support will not be able to assist you to reclaim access to this account as doing so would be a security liability. In this case, your only option would be to create a new org. Currently we have no easy way to remove your existing email from our system to allow for creation of a new org with the same email, so you would need to use a different corporate email when signing up for your new org.

I have regained access. Please email developers@okta.com from your account email to open a ticket.
