API rate limits on CORS API?

We are planning on using the CORS API on a new static version of our website. We currently get around 4 million visits and 500k - 1M login events a month. The easiest thing for us to do would be to just use CORS directly on the static site, but that would cause millions of CORS calls.

Are CORS calls to endpoints like /users/me or /users/me/appLinks covered under the same rate limits as regular API calls?
