Client_id parameter in Facebook authorize URL

This section is not clear: Add an external Identity Provider | Okta Developer

I have no idea what value to put for the client_id parameter. I understand it is not the app id of the Facebook app I created. But I have no idea what they mean by “OpenID Connect client application in the previous section”.

Hi @ahsengster! To confirm your thoughts, it is the client id you get from creating an OIDC app with your Identity Provider (in this case FB) - per Add an external Identity Provider | Okta Developer.

Also under this section: Create an Identity Provider in Okta

Step 3:

• Client Id — paste the app ID or client ID that you obtained from the Identity Provider in the previous section.

Tells you where to get the client id from.
