Question on OKTA

  1. How can we automate the policy configuration in okta access gateway ( so SiteMinder policy are translated to OKTA config), does okta access gateway provide api or can we generate to be config file and upload.
  2. Does Okta access gateway support Basic Auth? , the client has multiple backed API, that relies on Basic Auth. Ideal would be for them to move them to OIDC standards, but for legacy cost may not be justified.
  3. How simple it is to scale up/down okta access gateway instance( can it be done automatically based on load?).

  1. As far as I know API is still pending and not implemented, but I’ll let other folks to chime in
  2. How do you envision the flow for reaching for those APIs? Will you be sending request with the authorization header and need it to be passed further? Or is it something different?
  3. You can add additional worker nodes manually
