Hello Okta,

Can you please guide me how can I send my OTP through and not through SMS ? I want to customize my recoverPassword API and send OTP through email. But I haven’t found a way to do this for now.

Any help will be appreciated.

Sometimes there are specific issues while, but it is pretty simple to solve the problem you are facing. You need to follow the following API’s to send your OTP through and not through SMS

  1. You should be enrolling yourself as Okta Account user and should verify your account with the TOTP Factor.
  2. The most important thing that you should do is activate for being the user and approving your authentication process.
  3. The next thing that you have to do is to verify your TOTP Factor after that is done, you will be sent a push notification for the device if the user account needs to be rejected or accepted.
