Smart card + authn endpoint

Hello-- my org is moving to login with smart cards. Our AWS team currently uses gimme-aws-creds to sign in at the command line with Okta. A review of that code shows that it authenticates users against Okta using the /api/v1/authn endpoint.

Leaving aside gimme-aws-creds for the moment-- is there a way to do PIV authentication with the /api/v1/authn endpoint?

Looks like PIV authentication is considered to be an external identity provider so I don’t believe you can use the /api/v1/authn endpoint.
