We are using a Global Session Policy and “Users will be prompted for MFA When signing in with a new device cookie:” We tested signon from 3 different devices and Okta is able to skip MFA prompt accordingly.
What is the maximum number of devices Okta can remember for one user?
Hello, @azurex
At the moment, there is no limit to the number of Okta Verify devices that can be linked to one user account, regardless of the organization. Whether you’re running on Okta Classic or Okta Identity Engine, Okta Verify is associated with the user’s profile rather than a specific device. However, there’s a difference when the Push Notification function is enabled: while Okta Classic allows only one device for Push Notification, Okta Identity Engine (OIE) allows multiple devices to be enrolled for one user.
I hope this replay useful to you.

I am not talking about the numbers of Okta Verify you can register under one user.
When you sign on via Okta SIW, it will drop a DT cookie and next time when you sign in from same browser with the same DT value, Okta will skip the MFA accordingly cos it is a known value. We are cusious to know how mant DT values Okta keeping tab of.
Is it fair to assumpt that there is no upper limit, so a user can sign from 1,000 devices and all of them will be remmebered by Okta? Cheers
