Authentication using oAuth2 only

Hi guys,
I am completely new to this forum and would need help to go ahead with the problem we are facing in the project.

Currently our application is created using OpenID and our angular application works perfectly with it.
However, we are trying to connect a third Party which supports SAML2 & oAuth2.

Is it possible to connect the Okta application with pure oAuth2 protocol only?
If yes, it would be great if you can help me with it.
If not, then is it possible to have both SAML2 & OpenID connect activated for the same okta Application?

I’m assuming the Third Party is an Identity Provider that you want to federate with (Sign on through them)? If so, you can use only OAuth, just gather the required data to add them as an external identity provider.
