How to disable user to edit the profile of octa once it is created by domain ADMIN

Hi Team,

As per my business scenario, as an admin i will add the users to octa server.

  1. user activates the email through link provided.
  2. Now i want to restrict the updating of his profile in octa. Like the profile must be updated by ADMIN only.

can some one suggest how can i do this.

I don’t think this is possible, but I could be wrong.

Hi @adityan164,

According to https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Directory/eu-profile_editor_tasks.htm, expand the “Add custom attributes to an Okta user profile” tab.

You can modify the User permission option to hide the attribute or make it read-only or read-write.
