Can anybody guide me on how OKTA single sign-on works with Kerberos authentication setup on the active directory?

It sounds like you may want to configure Agentless Desktop SSO, as that will allow you to use Kerberos endpoints to sign users on based on local desktop sign-ins on your network: Configure agentless Desktop Single Sign-on | Okta
