Unlock Integrator account

I was making changes on Security > Authentication Policies (disabling Second factor) on the integrator account and while I reading about trusted zones, the console timed-out.. And, now I cannot login to the integrator account (presents “Unable to sign in. Contact support for assistance.”).. what is the best way that I can go from here, if I would want to continue to test with the same account (email address)..

Hi @mprasanth ,

Can you sign up for a new Integrator org using the + symbol as described in this KB article - Okta Support Center (Lightning) ?

  1. Create a New Integrator Free Plan Tenant:

    1. Navigate to the Okta Developer sign-up page.

    2. It is recommended to sign up using the same email address as the locked-out account, but with a “+” alias. Most email providers (for example, Gmail) will deliver emails sent to your.email+alias@example.com to the your.email@example.com inbox. For instance, if the original email was admin@company.com, signing up with admin+oin@company.com is an option.

Kind Regards,

Andrew

Thank you @andrew1.. I appreciate the help.

I have two follow up questions,

  1. is it mandatory to grant administrative access to other users (or the original, now-unaliased email address) ??
  2. “with the new tenant and a Super Administrator account, the Okta Integration Network (OIN) submission can now proceed.” – I did not understand the last step? what is OIN submission.

Thank you!

Hi @mprasanth,

Not mandatory but we do recommend that you have multiple super admins assigned to prevent self lockouts.

The Integrator Org are mainly for ISVs or developers building for the Okta Integration Network: OIN submission requirements | Okta Developer If your aim is not to build for the OIN then we recommend you to use the 30 Day Free Trial.

If you don’t have an app in the OIN, then the Integrator Org will deactivate after 180 days of inactivity: Okta Integrator Free Plan org configurations | Okta Developer

Kind Regards,

Andrew

thank you for the details. Its helpful.
