403 error with new Okta developer account

Hello,

I’m trying to create a new okta developer account & at the end of the sign up process I get a 403 error.

Here’s the steps I did:

  1. Go to okta developer page (developer dot okta dot com)
  2. Click Sign up in upper right
  3. Click ‘Sign up free for Developer Edition’
  4. Choose ‘Continue with Google’.
  5. For country and state enter United States, New York
  6. Enter my google email & password.
  7. Sign in to okta.
  8. I get this result:
    Okta
    403
    Access Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access this page.
    Go to Homepage
  9. Clicking the ‘Go to Homepage’ button doesn’t do anything.

I also got an email with subject ‘Welcome to your Okta developer account’.
In that email there is a ‘Sign In’ button, when I click that I also get the 403 response.

Here is the okta domain I got in the welcome email:
dev-76366628

Same here regarding a 403 Forbidden and federated identities for:
dev-11947684

I also can’t reset the password because I get the error:
“Reset password is not allowed at this time. Please contact support for assistance.”

Hi,
I’m also getting a 403 since today for dev-70431416 after login.
Any help would be appreciated.

@r.rajesh552 @danielreardon @jsauer thanks for reporting. I’ll look into this. Question so you all signed up via social login e.g. Google? On this page?

@sigama Hi, no I used no social login. Sry, I did not realize that this topic is related to Google login. I disabled the 2-factor login method with Okta Verify in my instance which seems to be required and now Im getting 403 after entering my username and password.

That’s correct. I used the Google Social Login for my initial sign-up and it’s the only admin I have available.

So what I’m seeing, I can’t even select the “Sign up free for Developer Edition”… has this been disabled?

hey, I’m getting this same issue, how do I fix this?
