New phone - failed to transfer Okta verify accounts

I am the only user within my Okta Developer account and I only had Okta Verify configured for one device. I just purchased a new phone and wiped the old, but the Okta account information didn’t transfer to the new device. All of the help messages that I can find point me to speak with my Okta Admin to reset my MFA, but I am the admin.

How can I reset the MFA (or just get the Account added to my new device)?

@pwysocki You will have to access your Okta Dashboard, navigate to the up-right corner and click on the arrow next to your name. Then go to Settings and if you scroll down, you will see the “extra verification” section. There, for Okta Verify you can select the “Remove” option, and it will then allow you to set it up again.

That seems reasonable - IF I could get to my dashboard. I can’t log in because it always challenges me to ‘Enter code from Okta Verify app’.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to get to my dashboard to select the “Remove” option?

I am sorry. In this case since this is a Developer Free org, support will not be able to assist you to reclaim access to this account, unfortunately. As doing so would be a security liability. So your only option would be to create a new org. Currently we have no easy way to remove your existing email from our system to allow for creation of a new org with the same email, so you would need to use a different corporate email when signing up for your new org.

OK - that’s a workable solution. Thanks.
