I’m currently unable to receive verification codes from Okta Verify for my account. I had previously set it up on an old mobile device, which I no longer have access to. I suspect the codes are still being sent to that device.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any clear documentation on how to reset or reconfigure Okta Verify in such cases. Can someone please guide me on how to reset my Okta Verify setup or re-enroll with my current phone?
Unfortunately, support will be unable to assist you with this as we cannot help with admin lockouts in developer orgs. Do you have another admin in your org that can reset this authenticator for you, so you can re-enroll?
Not if the user isn’t already in your org as an admin. If you were the sole admin in the Okta org, you would have needed to grant admin permissions to additional users that were added to the Okta org. If there are not any other admins in the org currently, no one else will be able to help you regain access
Could you please clarify what you mean by “org”? Are you referring to the same organization associated with our email accounts?
If so, we do have other email addresses that are linked to developer or integrator Okta accounts. In that case, what actions would be required from their end to help reset my access?
By org I am referring to your Okta tenant, the one you access by going to dev-48940178.okta.com. I am not talking about the email accounts for users across different orgs/tenants/instances.
Unless you have admin users already within your dev-48940178.okta.com org (aka, you are the only admin in that org/tenant/instance), there will be no way to get back into this org and you will need to sign up for a new org.
