The admin account I used to get into the Okta Developer admin page stopped working. It returns "errorTitleCode=error.sign_on_denied&errorDetailsCode=error.sign_on_denied_details”. I’m unable to log into my account or reset the password. I need some help to get it back up. I tried clearing cookies and cache and tried using different browsers too. I still get the same error.
@dkunchala as a workaround, can you create a new account with your work email using a suffix, such as username+suffix@company.domain? The suffix could be something like +admin1, for example.
If this works for you, we recommend:
Creating a couple of Super Admin users in your org.
Make sure all admins are registered for MFA.
In addition, follow this guide, Enable Terraform access for your Okta org, to make sure you have access to a Terraform config in the event you are locked out.
@sigama Thank you. I appreciate your quick response. If i create a new account, i will be losing all the config, data in my current Okta tenant.
My OKTA developer admin does not have MFA enabled. This is my okta url, https://dev-603253.oktapreview.com/
Is it possible to deactivate or disable MFA on my tenant?
Hi @dkunchala, unfortunately you will need to recreate an account as our support team is no longer allowed to unlock, reset MFA, make changes to existing accounts/orgs as an added security measure (i.e. we have no way of verifying the admin on our end).
@SigmaSquared I have all my applications and config i use for my dev/testing efforts to support my customers in this tenant. Is there anything you can do? please.
