We’re looking to tighten our Okta Multifactor environment and removing security questions/phone calls.
Is it possible for an user to call into helpdesk and acquire a backup code to login into the Okta SSO portal, until they receive their replacement phone.
Or!
I’d like to hear how other people are tackling this type of scenario (The primary function is to provide some sort of backup without security questions, and if their phone is unavailable).
Okta admin can go to the user’s profile and click on Resend Password Email and choose Temporary Password that can be sent to the user(securely) which then can be used by the user to login.
