We have had a free tier Okta account since 2021 operating for a client website.
Last week an admin attempted to log in for an end user password reset request and got an error saying:
“Sign In Denied
You do not have permission to access your account at this time. If you’re wondering why this is happening, please contact your administrator.”
We think based on other posts here that we were supposed to get a notice about setting up MFA on the Super User accounts, but none of our Super Users can find that notice, nor can any log in.
Since this is not a paid account, we cannot open a real support ticket. Other posts here have made me think that we have no options at all other than creating a new org using a different corporate email. As noted in this forum response. Admin locked out of Admin console - #2 by krishna
Has anyone done this? We know what accounts need access, so is this a simple process of creating a new Org and adding those accounts to it? Do I need to reset all the passwords?
Also, is it possible to create a free tier Okta account with a little over 1000 users? I believe our account was grandfathered in.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide. This is a truly frustrating situation.
